Annette Greenfield is a Medical Herbalist with a BSc degree in Herbal Medicine having studied the subject for 5 years with the University of Wales.

She is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, established in 1864, the main governing body of herbal healthcare in the UK. She practises mainly at her Clinic & Dispensary in Linlithgow but also sees patients in South Queensferry.

At Greenfield Herbal Clinic we understand that everyone wants to be treated as an individual and we take time to explore and understand each patient’s health concerns before treating their specific needs. We look at all possible contributing factors and, above all, aim to identify and treat the cause, not just the symptoms, of their ill-health.

We treat all ages and most conditions and prepare mixes of natural, organic plant remedies, each combination being tailored to the individual and dispensed at the time of the consultation. Our use of plants in the treatment of disease is informed by centuries’ worth of wisdom passed on by traditional practitioners of herbal medicine, as well as the equally important scientific research of our modern times.

Herbal Medicine can treat most conditions you might take to your doctor and is suitable for children and adults.

Common complaints we see at our clinics include children’s illnesses such as colic and molluscum; female conditions such as PMT, menopause; skin conditions such as eczema, acne, psoriasis; high blood pressure, anxiety, sleep problems

Every patient is given an individually tailored prescription of herbs specific to their particular needs. Each prescription is designed to treat the cause of illness, support the body’s affected areas and bolster its own defence mechanisms, whilst providing symptomatic relief.

We prescribe only the highest quality herbal remedies available, sourcing those made from fresh, organic, biodynamically grown plants from sustainable sources. We only use traditional whole-plant herbal medicines and none of our preparations contain any animal products.
